This is part of my "Collections" series exploring shape, line, color and texture inspired by the natural world. Growing up near a beach town in Southern California I spent many days gathering found elements on the sand. Whenever I travel to a new beach, I still make tiny collections of found pieces. There is something about a collection of found objects that tell a unique story. I am especially interested in juxtaposing the strong geometric elements with organic ones.
